Can Literature Inspire Good? (Part Four)

By now you should know that i'll mention something religious for each topic. I firmly believe that religion helps the majority of the world learn about morality. Be it the Torrah, Koran, Bible or Book of Mormon, all of these sacred texts inspire something better of their readers. To give you a break from religious art forms (although I guess I did that with video games), who hasn't written a poem or letter to commemorate a significant event? Also, when literature must bear bad news, how many have been called to arms by this news to do good? I mentioned that with gaming a sense of community is built that can be used to perform a service or raise money. With literature, people gain education, information, and emotion that the writers imbue their works with to be driven towards a goal. An example of this may be a love letter written to a trusted confidant in hopes to win him/her over. It has a good intention, an honest way of achieving it, thus it is literature being used in a good way by the author, regardless of the outcome.
